Does anyone have any scientific proof or links that discuss the effects,if any, that AAS has on the CNS? Does AAS make the CNS recover faster like it does with muscles?

Clinical trials in humans apart from those on debilitating illnesses are few and far between, i'd be suprised if you found any related to the cns, however you are sure to find some info regarding AAS and CNS studies carried out on rats or other similar mammals.

MC, why do you ask? I'm actually taking AAS primarily for treatment of a CNS condition known as Chronic Inflammatory Demylinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP). It's been so successful in regenerating nerve insulation tissue (Myelin Sheath), that I now have others doing the same thing successfully. Real medicine will never look into the obvious benefits of high dose testosterone because of the rarity of the illness and the political environment, but I can tell you first hand that ABSOLUTELY YES it has a beneficial impact on the CNS.

RE:cidpsucks. I asked because I only hear about aas and muscle recovery, but I know that CNS plays a major role in the initiation of recovery. I give my CNS at least a day to recover before my next wo; I want to make sure that I'm giving my CNS enough time to be effective in signaling my muscles to recover. Do you know by what percentage it speeds up the CNS recovery process? Thanks for responding.

Thanks Alin and others too.

test definitely is a CNS stim, this is fact.

workout to CNS failure without AAS and see how quickly you can get back in the gym compared to a similar workout to CNS failure with AAS and see how much faster you're good to go.

just watch the guys on the Tour de France...

it also accounts for the immediate gains you get at the beginning of a cycle... you haven't increased muscle mass all that much, but your strength goes up immensly. why? the AAS is stimulating the CNS thus allowing you to contract more muscle fibers during the lifts.

Do you think that it's not necessary to take a day off between wo's to allow the CNS to recover properly then?
