View Full Version : Could the heat finally be cooling down?

I got this from a pro wrestling "news" website:
Don't be surprised if you see some WWE wrestlers regain their former sizes. The feeling is that the heat is off. On the heels of the Chris Benoit double murder-suicide, Vince McMahon called a meeting to notify talent to get off whatever they were using, especially considering that Congress was looking over their shoulder. Now that steroids in pro wrestling isn't going to be subject to Congressional hearings, and the chances of hearings on the topic taking place anytime in the near future are slim to none, things will likely be reverting back to how they were again in WWE.
IF that is true -- and believe me, that is a very big if -- then perhaps things might cool down for us fairly soon. If they aren't going to worry about professional wrestlers, then surely no one is going to care about people who use AAS to make themselves look and feel better. Although this is America, and I haven't seen anyone in power do anything that makes any sense in a very long time. But for the first time, things are starting to look up.

Wrestling had very little to do with the heat. It's the Olympics and baseball if you ask me. Wrestling just added to it a little

I don't think they are done yet. We are easy money because we generally don't carry guns and shoot back like drug dealers.

I disagree. Baseball and the Olympics have been a "hot button" for many years, but the steroids issue didn't really pick up steam until the whole thing with Chris Benoit. Steroids were blamed for his actions and the shit really hit the fan shortly thereafter.

I would like to believe this, but unfortunatly we now have the magnet media infesting the issue, which leads to more press, and more misconception to build upon. Now then, there are the PH issues.Since Raw Deal, they haven't gone after this market, but bet your boots it's probably going to happen. When that sh*t hits the fan,it pushes more pressure on the opposite part of the axis.
After all of this is said and done, things will quiet back down.
It's gonna have to run it's course,JMHO...

i don't think things are going to cool down yet, they invested a large sum of money to crackdown on all the labs, they likely will not cool down

You have to understand this heat is international. It has everything to do with the Olympics and happens every time. things will not ease up until at least 2009.
I have never heard of your wrestler and yet our borders have become extra tight with all mail from China being ion scanned and x-rayed.
You in the US are just lucky thats not logistically feasible in the US. This won't be over for a long time.

Such a bummer to have all of this going on....thinking about it you guys are right with the Olympics this whole jucie issue is not getting brushed under the carpet yet. I thought it was but again Olympics are international and I can't imagine the testing they are going to be doing for this, not to mention the how they will be monitoring these people and workout places and people that they associate with.

When the Olympics roll around, every country clamps down on gear importation exportation...unfortunately for us, China is the main source raw hormone used for underground gear.

things certainly don't seem to be cooling down on my side of town... i'm seeing guys in the gym who walk around at 240 rock solid shriveling up to under 200 by the dozens... even guys that i know that were in the know and hard wired are suddenly finding themselves grounded... what a shame... the media is so retarded... and the governments wasting millions of our tax $$ in the process... its been speculated that 80% of AAS users are dedicated, educated, intelligent, middle class, hard working citizens... we work hard, train even harder, pay our taxes, and for the most part keep to ourselves... i think the government, losing the war on hard drugs, has found us easy prey... why can't they leave us the fuck alone and put that effort and $$ towards the real criminals?
