I'd rather be big for a short period of time than scrawny for ever.

I guess it's different for everyone. It all depends on your goals and activities in life. I'm not saying one way is better than the other, I just found that article and it I figured that it would be relevant to a lot of the bolex boys (and girls of course, I'm a fan of alliteration though).

there was also a study that said people who ate more food were adding (ingesting) more toxins and free radicals than people who ate less and that contributes to a reduction in lifespan.
Also eating a calorie restricted diet activates a flight or fight
I think this study is slanted towards anti GH administration for anti-aging and sports. I bet there are many studys that show an increase of lifespan through administration. Even if it did not add a single day to my life the quailty of life is worth it!
How about taking excersise into account? How much does that playing into living longer?
" Together with other recent reports, our results further challenge the view that administration of GH can prevent, or even counteract human aging. This knowledge is important since growth hormone is often prescribed to elderly people in an attempt to compensate the unwanted effects of aging. Growth hormone and IGF-I are also substances frequently used for doping in sports."
