Home made Acetic Acid?

Now ive seen the recipes for this.. am PMd a couple MODS (u know who u are) anyone used AA from vinegar and distilled water?

Now when its vinegar is it just plain white vinegar from super market?
I cant seem to find distilled vinegar in AUS (and finding acetic acid is not possible at the moment!!!)

so i just mix 1ml vinegar to 7ml distilled water and filter .....
correct?

Basically correct depending on the concentration of your vinegar. You are looking for 0.6% concentration in the final product. This 1/7 would imply that your vinegar is about 5% which is pretty standard.
