You would have to cycle clomid because it would lose some of its effectiveness over time unlike hcg. So it was only used during long cycles or by those that cruised between cycles...... |

I have used clomid at 50mg EOD to keep my balls full while on a cycle.
Works great. I really feel strange walking around with tiny balls. Especially when I'm just about to make love to my lady. |

Clomid is standard prescribed protocol for raising test levels for those suffering from secondary hypogonadism (balls can produce test but pituitary or hypothalamus not telling them to for whatever reason). Some docs will prescribe HCG as an alternative if requested. Clomid is an estrogen agonist in some places in the body, and an antagonist in others, which is not a natural state of things in the male body.
It seems more logical and optimal to just use HCG to up the amplitude on all the proper stuff. HCG also stimulates adrenal response (p450 sidechain or somesuch) which clomid does not. In other words, HCG acts just as if your body is pumping out higher LH levels, Clomid has some of the same effects but will not duplicate how a male body should function. The way you feel on clomid even when it has raised test levels on its own is not the same as you will feel with HCG at the same test levels, at least this is my experience confirmed by doc. Both are used instead of straight testosterone to raise test levels for those concerned about future/current fertility. |

Like a few of the guys have stated above, clomid makes my nuts bigger and shoot bigger loads while on, plus it doesn't send estrogen levels through the roof as hcg does. They do work differently, and I do like Swale's protocol for hcg.
And by the way, I don't notice any anti-e benefit from clomid, unlike nolvadex. |
